Help files/tutorials for 3.7.7LE
Hi,
I've downloaded the pdf -Capture_One_LE_3.7.x_user_guide_Windows_EN.pdf to try and work out how to use this software but it starts off by talking about creating sessions. There appears to be no option to use sessions in LE! This is not a good start when trying to learn something new.
Without instruction on what to do and why I am getting result equal or worse than ACR. I read a post from a member of the PhaseOne staff in response to a request for help where he mentioned a guy cutting down trees with a chain saw. Not sure what the staff member was trying to say but to me it was clear. If the supplier provided adequate information on how to use the product in the first place, the user would be a happy customer who may buy a better and more expensive product in the future.
I assume the LE version is designed to be an entry level piece of software. Despite reading helpfiles and online information I'm still at a loss as to how the software works in most areas. The supplied help assumes too much at the entry level. The help tells you how to do things but not how they fit into the bigger picture. I write IT user documentation at work and know I have to pitch it at the level of the user, not my level. Perhaps PhaseOne could do this.
Does anyone know of any simple instruction anywhere on the web that I can refer to please? I see good reviews on the software and would like to see for myself. At the moment I'm underwhelmed.
Thanks

You could try [color=red:9uxnu8i8]this [/color:9uxnu8i8]thread on the Pentax User forum where C1 was very popular with Pentax DSLR users. Unfortunately the delayed support for the Pentax K10D's RAW files in Capture One has meant most users have moved on to either Adobe Lightroom or SilkyPix. 0 -
Here's an LE tutorial that appears still to be reasonably current for the Windows version.
LE is hardly "entry level" software. In any event, I've used the Pro version for four years without ever learning what the heck "sessions" are or how to use them, so don't let that buffalo you. The initial learning curve is a bit steep as the interface is somewhat eccentric, but the results and efficient workflow are well worth the effort.
And here's another one.
