C1 5.1.2 PRO Image Not Matching the Exported TIFF
Let me start by listing my specs and help trouble shoot:
Win7 Home Premium 64-Bit w/ 8GB DDR3 memory.
Photoshop CS5 64-Bit.
ATI Catalyst running in the background.
ICC profile is version 2 produced via i1Display2 @ 6500K Gamma 2.2.
C1 Process recipe is set to AdobeRGB1998 as the output ICC profile.
Proofing is set on default, which is "Selected Output Profile."
Color rendition is Relative Calorimetric.
When I contacted P1, they said to disable the GPU of PhotoshopCS5 and it still does not seem to fix the problem I'm having.
The image rendered when I work on C1 is VERY different to the exported TIFF into Photoshop. Has anyone notice this? How did you fix it.

Your list of specs is clear except for your version of CO but your problem is less clear to me. Can you be more specific on what kind of differences you experience? You could also present an image or two (screen dumps from both CO and PS CS5)? You can use an image hosting site like http://www.tinypic.com/ for the images. 0 -
Redacted: I softproof to my working CMYK when I retouch in PS, which is the US Web Coated V2. When I change the color to "Monitor RGB," the image resembles what was rendered by C1 on screen.
Here is an entry on my blog about this strange problem.

If you look at the screen cap and the exported TIFF, they look different. Check out the corresponding histograms!0 -
And if you Proof your Preview in C1 with the same CMYK ICC profile the results are? 0 -
If I set the proofing in C1 to "US Sheetfed Coated V2," the shadows look washed out as if there is no detail. I cycled through that option. In order to look the way I'd want, e.g. "pull the details out of the shadows," I had to bump up the black point on the levels--the dial at the top left.
I realized this was in the "trivial" category and meniscule in comparison to the other quirks that I've reported into the Support team.0
