Some thumbnails and previews generate, others don't...

I tried installing the Media Pro trial to see if that will fill the media management gap, and it seems to have great potential, but....

I have a huge problem with it; for some reason certain raw files will only display as a document icon (the little paper icon) instead of the image thumbnail, or even a high-res version when I try to view an individual image. They open fine in Capture One, but nothing I do seems to get the thumbnail to appear. Half a directory will be fine, but the other half will just be the paper icon, even after multiple attempts at rebuilding an item, syncing and/or clearing annotations. It happens with tif, psd and nef files - but not all of them. When I click on the media tab, tif and psd files will eventually load a preview, but nef files will not.

If the thumbnail already shows up, it works fine.

I don't know what to do and it makes the program virtually unusable. Any ideas what the problem is?

I have similar problem with my canon raw files, I have a support open but still no resolution from Phaseone,in my case some of the raw files rendered in media pro media mode some other did not,so I took the files that did not render back into capture one and reset each adjustment that I had made to the file in capture one [one at a time ] and sync in media pro,it was when reset the level adjustment in capture one did the raw file rendered in media pro media view, it seems in my case I can not manually adjust the level in capture one beyond white[255] and have the raw file render in media pro,my case could be different or it could similar.
