Delay batch process?

Hi,
I'm finding that Version 7 is VERY slow. I've turned off OpenCL. Still MUCH slower than version 6.
What does seem to help, for me for the last few minutes, is to delay processing.
I have pressed Stop in the Batch tab. Going to press Start when I go get a coffee, sandwich, 7 course meal, etc etc.

Now when I press Control D for each image I get a message asking if I want to start the batch queue.
How can I stop this message and delay processing until coffee time?
I am sure I could do that with previous versions??
