question about the col45 file.

    The .col45 file holds information about the session like the folders that are assigned the session folders (Capture, Output, Trash, MoveTo) but also the size and location of the program windows IIRC.

    If you use CO 4.5 or later in its regular (non-Pro) version, you don't deal with sessions other than the default Capture One session. That is why the Capture One.col45 located in that folder. When you create other session with the Pro/DB version, you will find different .col45 files in their respective locations. Deleting a session file results in losing the organization of files and folders, but no data or adjustments is lost. Capture One will create a new session file on request if it does not find the file or asks for an existing one (Pro/DB).

    It seems that your backup software is not able to handle files with a longer than 3-character extension. Hmm, can it backup a .html file? 😉
