IN this case there is no Process destination defined.
    Try doing following.
    Empty the batch queue.
    Create a folder on desktop
Drag folder in to the Organizer tool.
    High light folder.
Press CTRL and mouse click on it
    Choose \"Set process folder\"
    Choose your images again
    Press \"process\"
and make sure \"Enable batch queue\" is checked.

I tried creating a new folder on desktop and dragging it into the organizer where it says \"drop folders here\", I then held down CTRL and mouse clicked on it....it renamed the folder QP..I then went to file/set to process folder..I then had to go to the lower files and refind them for them to come into the software off the harddrive, I highlighted all of them by hitting CTRL/A and then hit the process button...it only put one image into the selected jobs pane/put a yellow symbol on the thumbnail/ did not process it nor did any of the other images load into the pane..still will not process.....the other day after I had quit working in the program and had shut down the computer and brought it back up...then opened C1 Pro it did load the images....same ones I was trying to do Mon night...did not do anything different..they all loaded in the pane and processed!!! Now today cannot get anything to process again even trying this solution!! don't understand what's going on yet!! Any other suggestions as to what the problem is? Before it just loaded as QP under the process folder..never any problems... what's the difference in the upgraded version? thanks for the quick response...would appreciate any other info that would help.....CJ

Here Capture One works the same way as the finder in Mac OS.
If you highlight a set of images, they will get a blue frame around them.
If you press process all the images will go in to the batch queue.
How ever if you click around on other tools, the focus will switch to the tool or tab you have pressed and the images highlight will be grey, if you click process now only the image which is in the preview window will be added to the batch queue.
This is as I said standard in Mac OS and makes perfectly sense especially when you are in 2 or 4 up mode.

Is anyone else experiencing a situation wher C1 stops processing at a random point in a queue? I get this quite often at the moment. It might be the 5th picture or the 31st picture. It just stops mid way and refuses to go further.

I understand in concept the Finder behavior Phase One is trying to emulate. However, there are some flaws with the implementation.

The first is that this behavior is different from how the previous version of the Phase One software worked (version 3.6). There is no mention in the release notes for version 3.7 of this change. There is also no visual cue in the user interface that the previously expected behavior has changed.

The second issue is that if the thumbnail pane has lost focus after multiple images have been selected, there seems to be no way to regain focus for this pane without losing the selection.

The result to the user is that expected workflow has changed from
    1. select thumbnails
    2. adjust process settings
    3. hit process button

    to

    1. adjust process settings
    2. select thumbnails
    3. hit process button

though in reality anyone used to the old method will likely wind up selecting the thumbnails at least twice, or be left wondering why only one image was processed.

To claim that this behavior is emulating the behavior of the Mac OSX Finder is a fallacy.

First of all, when a Finder window loses focus, the selection of that particular window is retained when the window regains focus. It is not necessary to re-select the files.

Second, the behavior being emulated is for a part of the operating system that is designed to support multiple windows, each providing some sort of file browsing capability, and is only evident when two or more windows are open.

[As an aside, I feel I should point out here that the Mac Desktop counts as a window, as it displays files, allows for file selection, and can accept focus. If any 'normal' Finder windows are open, then there will always be at least two Finder windows.]

The Phase One software appears to only support one window with browsing capabilities. Any additional windows will only show preference options or larger image previews of the selected thumbnail. As such, it is my belief that the thumbnail pane should NEVER lose focus, and any operations done with a tool should apply to ALL images selected, or ONLY the CURRENT image displayed, with a modifier key available to toggle this behavior, as well as very explicitly named menu commands. Currently there is only the Process command in the Image menu.

In conclusion, I suggest Phase One modify the user interface to make it clear that the user is choosing to Process Current Image or Process Selected Images, both on the buttons and the menus.

    Thank you.

Lets see if we can strait this on out.

Why do this change? Well first to be closer to how the Finder works and how Mac OS in general work, also if you use 2 and 4-up mode. If you have four images up on screen which you deciding between and hit process, only the image with focus on it should be put in the processing queue, rest is irrelevant.

The focus works the same as the finder, the difference is that the finder window has a frame, this you do not have in Capture One.
If you switch back between two finder windows by clicking among or on a selected image. you loose the selection, the same way as in Capture One.
To keep the selection, hold down shift.

Thank you for the tip on using the shift key to preserve the selection.

Still, it would be more convenient to have menu commands to Process Current and Process All. It would also be nice not have to hold down the shift key when making the Thumbnail pane active in order to preserve the selection.

Regarding switching windows in the Finder, in both 10.3 (Panther) and 10.4 (Tiger), a Finder selection is not lost when switching from one window to another, provided you do no click on the sidebar. Clicking anywhere else will not cause the selection to be lost, even clicking on an unselected item.

The rest is not irrelevant, because you have changed the expected behavior of the program without documenting it.

I do now see what you mean in finder vs. Capture One, when clicking on the thumbnail it self selection is lost which it is not in Finder (workaround, hold down shift).
This have been verified as a flaw and will be fixed.
