Preview not sharp/ has moire

I recently purchases Capture One PRO and am disappointed in the quality of the large preview compared to what I was previously using, ACR. The focus tool/ window looks great, but I am extremely distracted by the quality I'm seeing in the main preview window; even at 100% it's horrible. It is affecting my ability to accurately judge color, contrast, etc. Is there a setting I need to change or something, HELP!

Mac Pro
Dell 30" (3007WFP)
OS 10.4

CANON 5D

  its a only preview the focus tool shows what really have.

  I thought the same. It is my understanding, however, that what you see is solely a preview for quick edits. Lili is right - the focus tool shows the real pic. The edit is a low quality preview. Very disconcerting until you know what's going on.

  Mac will allow a 'floating' Focus display some use with dual-monitor.
  All tools will be 'floating' in 4.0 and Preview quality will likely improve.
