Files moved to trash- permanently delete?

What happens to the files that are moved into the trash, i.e. how to permanently delete these files? Clicking on the trashcan icon w/in C1 still shows these files.

  Doug,
  There are two options to delete an image.
  1. Move to trash
  2. Delete Permanently
  
  The Move to Trash option refers to the Session Trash folder. The Delete Permanently removes the file and all of it's associated fils from the computer.

  Addition: a Move to Trash action can be followed by a Empty Session Trash action (file menu) to permanently delete the image and associated CO files.
