Shortcut for Variant Selection

Often on set we like to see a shot in both black and white and color. Usually we do this by shooting with our color curve, then creating a new variant for every image and then making those all B/W. works well enough until someone asks to me say, "process only the black and white ones". a lot of manual selecting. is there a way to have C1 only select a certain variant? like all second or third variants for example?

  If you color tagged the variants by color for each copy, you could select by color tag from the view menu.
  
  Workflow example:
  
  Import
  Select all > Tag red.
  F2 to make new variants
  Select all > no tag (so newest variants are selected)
  Tag > yellow
  
  You now have two variants you can select by "all red" or "all yellow" and then process only that variant.
