    Hi
Can you explain a little more the issue your having.
I have posted that using my studio MacPro Multi Core machine I have been getting slow running after a few hours.
If I quit the software and re-launch the application then hangs. I have to restart my machine to bring it back..
Very frustrating.. today I re-installed Cap 6.2.1 to see if this fixes the issues.
I would be interested in your issue, I also use the software on A MacBook Pro and this seems to run fine, it performs
better than a "beefy" studio based machine..

    Cheers
    Andy

Hello, I´m experiencing the same problems.
I´ve had numbers of kernel panics on my MacPro 2.4 GHz 8core as well as on my MacBook Pro i7. Both computer are running with Mac Os 10.6.7.
Currently I have switched off Open CL and I hope this will "fix" the problem …

My first aid would be: run Disk Utility, repair permissions if you not recently did this. Followed by a volume/drive rebuild (Drive Genius, TechTools Pro commercial software, but there is a free tool too: OnyX)

i wish i could explain it.

it happens seemingly randomly. it has happened when i've tried to open a session, it has happened when trying to use the loupe tool, sometimes it happens when i scroll through the browser thumbnails.

it happens maybe once or twice a week. sometimes it happens twice in one day.

i am going to try turning off open cl and see if that works

come to think of it, i don't think i've ever had a crash or a kernel panic on my macbook pro install of 6.2.1

perhaps it has something to do with the newer macs natively running 64 bit kernels? the older mac pros with the older intel chips 1.1 and 2.1 machines only run 32 bit kernels.

i am also running off striped drives - those experiencing kernel panics, are you operating off a single drive or from a raid config?

I haven´t had any kernel panics since I´ve turned off using Open CL.
Rumors go that there might be some problems with Open CL and some GPUs.

    Hi

We know of two issues in regards to this thread.

    1. Quadra 4000: This card simply does not work as it should due to Apple driver issues which has not been resolved.
The entire system can become unstable and driver and physical card should be removed (/system/library/extensions/Nvidiaxxx.kext)

    2. ATI 57xx series. this is the tricky one, we are still trying to reproduce. If you have this issue, please contact support with Capture One logs http://www.phaseone.com/en/search/artic ... nguageid=1 and Apple Kernel panic logs.
To avoid issues while this is being investigated please turn of OpenCL in preferences and then restart Capture One.
