    Hello,

I am using a NEC MultiSync PA271W. Works great, colours greats. You can probably find very good second-hands. The newer models in the serie should be even better.

I have an old MBP with a 512 GB SSD, 16 GB RAM, and it works quite well. I use a referenced catalog, rather than a managed one, as I have about 600 GB of pictures. I have bought some time ago a "normal" external HDD 7200 rpm, 1 TB and it's enough, as the access to RAW is only necessary when zooming at 100% or undertaking some local corrections through layers.
I bought a NEC PA 242W some years ago, and the colours are very good, (hardware) calibration is very simple, with very good results in DeltaE.

I am going top buy a new MacbookPro and a new monitor. Who is using the latest version of CaptureOne (11.x) with a recent MacBookPro and how much memory, what harddrive, etc. do you recommend? Can anyone recommend a good monitor to use when working on photos in Capture One for less than $1500? If not, what do you recommend. Thank you in advance for taking the time to make some suggestions. I am shooting with a Canon EOS 1Dx Mark II and have been working with CaptureOne 9 on an older mackbookpro.

Thank you to those above for your info regarding monitors. Is anyone using the Eizo cg247x? If so, are you happy with it?

Don't owe one yet, but plan to buy either the CG247x or CG2420. You can't go wrong with the Eizo CG series. They are among the best, together with the NEC Multisync line.

I bought an Eizo CG2730 last year and it's been a fantastic investment. Perfect colours, absolutely even display and no need to wait for warmup - and speaking of "warmup" - it stays very cool even after hours!
My previous Dell had pretty good colours as well but it got really hot after half an hour and the display was really uneven compared to this beauty.

The CG2730 is very similar to the CG247x, the actual differences (apart from the size) are very minor differences such as USB2.0 vs USB3.0.

Keep in mind that you need USB to make use of the calibration software ColorNavigator - so with recent MacbookPros you're forced to get an adapter. But after the initial calibration it'll automatically re-calibrate the display without usb (and even without the computer I think).
