Process Recipe - Keeping raw

    A RAW file is not a picture: it contains the raw data from the camera sensor. Capture One shows you its interpretation of those data (which is different from Lightroom's interpretation), but in order to get a proper picture file, you need to process to an output format (TIFF, JPEG, whatever).

    Thanks for your reply. Yes, I know that RAW is raw data, but Lightroom is perfectly capable of dealing with these files as well so I still want to skip the step of converting it to TIF first.

    OK, but you won't get the same look in Lightroom. If it's still what you want, then I guess the only option from within Capture One is to use the "Export > Originals" item in the contextual menu (right-click).
