actions on multiple selection
I'm frustrated by my inability to take actions on multiple photos. I select some photos in the browser (Ctrl-click on the thumbnails) and they're highlighted with white boundaries. I click 'delete' and only the first one is deleted. Or I copy adjustments, select multiple photos, right-click Apply Adjustments - and only the first photo is affected.

'Edit All Selected Variants' is 'on'?

Edit: you were faster, John Doe. 😄0 -
I think Edit/Edit All Selected Variants has fixed it. It's still not really making sense; they aren't "variants", but different photos - and what's the purpose of even allowing multiple selection if this option isn't on? But, thanks. 0 -
All the pictures you see in Capture One are variants of the original RAW file, even if there's only one variant for each. 0 -

Variant is simply a term used because there is no other pre-existing single term that would be more meaningful about what it is grouping together and many that could be more confusing because they have wider pre-existing "understandings" that may not always be the same understanding depending upon where they originate.
The ability to turn on or turn off the "All" selection (depends on you normal working methods as to which might be most likely default choice on a personal level) is in fact very powerful and useful once one is familiar with it and has adopted it into one's work methods.

Just for example:
You can select some images for side-by-side viewing, and print/process only the best one.
You can view a previous version and a new one side-by-side, and adjust only the new one.
