Delete on import

Hello all,

When I import images from my memory cards the "delete" button is greyed out so can't be checked. I'd like the images to be deleted from my cards after importing.

Any ideas as to why this function can't be used?

  maybe the images are protected (can be a camera feature).

  The images are not protected and were taken with both an E-1 and D300.
