Leaf Aptus II with CaptOne 6.2
Hello,
where can I find whats the meaning of all the Style presets like Aptus portrait, Aptus portrait warm, Aptus Product and so on and what is hiding behind.
and why is there no option to create and save your own preset.
Greetings Bernhard

In Capture One you can have Presets (both built-in and self-made), and Styles (both built-in and self-made). In short, a Preset is related to a particular tool (which can have multiple sliders or values) and a Style is a preset from different tools (any tool or combination of tools).
However, what you are referring to is - based on the names you provide - the selection of the input ICC profile Capture One can use for your image. Leaf brings a wide range of these ICC profiles for different purposes to Capture One for each of their backs (as it does to Leaf Capture). You can select a different profile (and 'film curve') from the Base Characteristics tool.
Although an input ICC profile is a fixed entity, you can use the Color Editor to tweak colors of a selected profile and save it as a new profile.
An input ICC profile is not a preset or style but can be part of one.

Thanks for your reply, but that is not quiet the problem.
The presets are okay, but I need individual corrections.
The problem is that the software - I tried every version from 6.1 to 6.2.2 - does not react to the slider of the colortemperature. Or to be correct it blocs at 5026 Kelvin. Numerical change efforts dont work either.
Till now I helped myself with the presets, but that is working like guessing.
and it is much more work to get the color to where you want it in photoshop later.

OK, different story. Not presets, but white balance issue. Correct?
Can you perhaps share details like:
- version OS X
- Capture One Express, Pro, or DB
- Aptus II back (5, 6, ?)
- file type (.mos, compressed, tethered or shot to card?)
Can you perhaps upload an image (post a link)?
Is the white balance slider the only slider that gets stuck?
Has it worked in the past?
Have you any (older) raw file that works?
More information helps in helping.0 -
Mac OS X 10.6.8
aptus II 8 newest version, delivered last week.
Capture one Pro 6.2.2.
file type .mos "lossless Compression" the back does not offer another setting.
the problem exists only with the aptus back. When I use the canon mark III instead everythings works fine like always.
I tried leaf capture 11.5.1 and there it works normally .
As I work with capture one since version 3.0 I am used to it and want to work with capt one further on. Leaf capt is not very handy in comparison.0 -
Hmm, I am not able to reproduce this on a similar setup with an Aptus II 8 file. White Balance slider goes from lowest to highest value without problems. Maybe you can contact your dealer or Phase One support?

Anyway, thanks for the moment and your help. I think it is the best to deinstall the program and all preferences and reintall .
