C1 7 - Losing star ratings?
Going through a shoot imported from CF card and rating images as I go. If I rate an image with stars then move on to the next image immediately, within seconds the rating will revert back to zero. However, if I rate an image and wait 3-5 seconds then move to the next image, the rate stays and does not disappear. Is there a setting I should be using to keep my ratings that changed from v6 to v7 - I did not experience this with v6 at all.
My metadata settings are:
Auto sync side car XMP: Full Sync
Prefer embedded XMP over IPTC - checked
Prefer sidecar XMP over embedded metadata - checked
I am using Adobe Bridge to do my overall sorting/editing/organizing, so I need to have the star ratings and capture/ingest metadata work between C1 and Bridge.
Thanks!

I would suggest you report this to Phase One in a support case and mention whether you use session or catalog, and whether you have your images inside or outside the catalog (outside if you sync with Bridge, I assume). 0 -
A problem I'm encountering is that when I make star ratings in CO Pro v7, they no longer appear as such in Bridge CS 6. Bridge no longer sees my ratings which are only visible in CO Pro.
This behavior differs from that of the past. Is there some setting that needs to be applied?0 -
The ratings in v7.0 is definitely a deal breaker for me. I have opened a support case and hopefully C1 support staff can help solve the problem, but the problem appears that with Full Sync of metadata ON C1 v7 does not write the metadata completely and is definitely not visible in other applications such as Bridge unlike v6.4.3 of C1. I have tested this using images imported from CF card as a new session as well as a tethered job with incoming images and in both cases, the ratings do not stay with the image. Hopefully this will be fixed in an update, but I guess I'll stick with v6.4.3 for the time being. 0 -
I have the same problem. I thought the write to XMP was the culprit but unchecking it doesn't solve the problem. Same thing happens: you loose the rating if you don't wait the few seconds. 0 -
My support case has gone cold - haven't heard from the support tech in at least 3 days. Not even an acknowledgement that they've received my response to their questions and are working on it. Pity that the users have to come to the forum to complain amongst ourselves. 0 -
FYI - just got my response from Phase support: We've done some more testing here and there seem to be a number of inconsistencies in the way ratings are currently being handled. Sync is not sending all settings to xmp properly and is often reading improperly from existing XMP.
we have notified R&D and hope to have a solution soon.
Let's hope a fix comes sooner rather than later!0
