Make a ticket at the support of PO. I think there you will get the fastest Solution for your problem. 0 -
Well, I run C1 8.3 under Windows 10 for some time. Only some days ago C1 still worked fine under Win10. Yesterday C1 suddenly coundn't get started with exactly tthat very error message. Re-Installation didn't help. As far as I realized, there have been Windows updates since last working use of C1. That error obviously isn't restricted to versions 9.x
I issued a support case and now I'm waiting for a solution. Any suggestions fom de forum are welcome as well.

Have you checked for any general problems reported for Windows 10?
Also check that Win 10 is completely up to date so you (and everyone else) knows where you are starting from.0 -
have you seen this thread? viewtopic.php?f=62&t=24513 0 -
I have exactly the same problem and I have logged a case.
We'll see what Phase One has to say about it.
In the meantime, I cannot process my pictures taken recently in Portugal ☹️0 -
Same error here on C1 Version 8.3.3. Has anyone heard anything back yet? Windows 10 update occurred on October 6th. Like others, re-installing did not help. 0 -
For v9 users download and install the latest version and for v8 download and install v8.3.5
For v8 users it is listed on the v8 forum.0 -

If the answer is yes go to this thread >[The Capture One forum has migrated to a new platform, as a result all links to Capture One related postsstopped working and have been removed]

I am having the same issue, my version 7 will run, but says that my i am running in trial mode. I am running an NVIDIA card and have not had any prior issues running ver 9. My virus SW is native windows 10. Not sure when this happened, but have to assume due to windows 10 upgrade. I do not use often and just noticed because i was going to install beta 10 and before I did decided to open 9 to take a trip around the older interface.
I have also created a ticket as i have not noticed any resolution here.
I will post back if i get a resolution.
UPDATE: This worked for me anyway. I opened 7, then checked for update, downloaded ver 9.0.3 (??) installed and then put in my SN. Seems to be working, when asked, I did update the data base.
Hope this helps someone.0
