Tethered live preview problem in C1 3.7.3
Hi all,
my software problem:
when shooting tethered in C1 Pro ver.3.7.3, the actual shot loads into my designated capture folder , it can be seen in the thumbnail window but not in the preview window. To view the last taken shot i have to go to the comp. and scroll thru the thumbnails manually. ☹️
This is very annoying when shooting up a ladder or when im some distance from the computer.
i have the canon software disabled in windows/control panel/scanners and cameras, so it doesnt run in the background when the camera is connected. 😊
i also have the latest firmenware for the camera 😊
is this a settings problem that i have missed ? (when yes, can anyone tell me the answer to this problem.)
or
is this a bug problem within C1 Pro 3.7.3 ?
(if this is a bug problem, when will Phase One have the appropriate fix for this?)
Thanx in advance
Belinda

Belinda,
I have the same problem with both my 20d and 1ds in the newer versions of C1. They have been trying to fix this bug for 2 yrs and its not fixed yet. Try setting a folder to capture the images in, Open C1 in this folder, bring up an image, Close C1 then reopen C1 and the images will then display automatically until you start another session then you have to close and reopen c1 for the images to display in the new session. I dont know if you've noticed but C1 will not use the camera generated image numbers either. It starts each new session with 00002. This is also a bug that I hope is fixed in the next release but I'm not holding my breath because it has been a bug thru the last 4 or 5 releases.

Hi Paul
Thanx for your advice,
i tried your workaround, now it behaves like it should do 😄
(it has saved me at least one pair of shoes, running to and forth 😉
The guys at Phase One have told me the bug should be fixed for the next update 3.7.4.
i hope this is true.
i dont need to add to the list of things to think about and check before i can start to let my creative juices flow.
I will look into the numbering problem that you mentioned.
thanx

Belinda,
I just installed ver 3.7.4 rc1 and the problems we both encounter are STILL NOT FIXED. If Phase One was going to have the problems fixed in 3.7.4 I would have thought they would have been fixed in the beta version.
Windows, Canon 20d,1dmark2N and 1ds
