Colors
Hi
I am a color profile rookie. When I process my images to jpeg, I can see in the Finder that my colors match up pretty good with the colors in Capture One, however when I upload them to Picasaweb and show them in the browser (Firefox) they look dull and pale and not like they do on my own machine. Is there a setting I can tweak to make them look good in the browser too? I suspect it has something to do with the color profile. In the output tool it is set to "Embed camera profile".

Your assumption is correct. Web browsers in general do not support color management (Firefox 3 with color management enabled and Safari are exceptions). Therefore it is best to use sRGB color space as output profile instead of a 'wider' color space like your camera profile or AdobeRGB to prevent the washed out colors.
If you develop further in the color management part of digital imaging, you might want to process to a wider color space to best quality in printing but convert for web viewing to sRGB.0 -
Excellent! Looks better, now - thanks! 😄 0
