...clicking on the drop down to 'Choose Folder...' puts me inside the last capture folder. Annoying. I want shot 1, shot 2 etc underneath each other, not inside each other. Am I missing something?

You're not missing anything. Capture One 7 is now inline with the Apple Finder in this method.
Perhaps it would be best if you created these folders in the Library tool and then right click>Set as Capture Folder.

Also, what's with the LENS CORRECTION tool? Seems to default to a given lens profile, which we have found causes distortion, and a slight softening of the file. Why is there no option to set no correction as the default? Or again, am I missing something?

Not missing anything here either. Lens Distortion Correction is ON by default and if you would like to change it you can select "Generic" from the drop down. If you find the quality to be troublesome create a support case and provide an example.

    Hi,
Okay well I guess it's your software, you can change the interface if you want to.

With regards to the lens correction issue, all I ask is how to switch it off by default, like it was in v6. I'm not looking to create a support case.

Without casting an official ballot we can only take the recommendation through a forum at there face value. You would be doing us a great favor, and ultimately yourself, by creating a support case. With Support Cases we have statistics to use to initiate change, without support cases we have faceless suggestions on an online discussion page.

Drew - I've asked this here before. How about implementing a user feature request tracking page. Where we get say 10 votes to put towards what we feel is important. Then Phase One can notify us when a particular feature or bug fix is planned, being worked on, etc. It will get more people to participate and helps us keep track of support each other feature requests. As it is now if someone has a great idea and they create a support case for it no one else will know about it. Unless you want to make all of the support cases public on this forum - that would be fine with me too.

Of course it's a great suggestion but not something done overnight.
Idea's have been purposed but at present we have the support system pretty dialed in. It's best if, until a future resource is in place, the Support System is used.

Hi, is there a way to Change the default behaviour of lens correction. I would like to turn this off.

    Thanks

There is a whole other thread about this (viewtopic.php?f=46&t=13943).

    Hello Drew,

I'm not sure how you get to "faceless suggestions on an online discussion page" from any of my posts, however I apologise for my poor communication, as I guess it wasn't obvious what I wanted.

What I would like to make clear is that I have no feature requests of Phase One, no suggestions to make. I put a couple of questions to the forum, one of which was about setting a default, a 'how do I do this' kind of question. Really, that's it. I felt this was an appropriate use of the forum.

We observed slight degrading of the file when the lens correction was applied, and I'm not up for any support around that; this idea of lens correction is not for us, we don't want it.

So, I just found this thread; viewtopic.php?f=46&t=13943&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=30

It would seem it has been an issue for some time for some users, so I'm guessing the answer to my question is "you can't".
