Are you sure you don't have some style applied there? What are the capture adjustments?
Also which camera profile are you using? Which curve?
I'm asking this cause I've shot hundreds of thousands of 5dmkii images tethered and never experienced a problem with COP 6 and 7 so it must be some sort of setting.

I'm using Canon 5DMkii Generic, Film Standard Curve. And every person I have spoken to who used Capture One has told me they have the same issue. I would go and check your files against how they appear in Canon DPP to see the difference.

Another comparison - the following 2 images, the camera was saving raw and jpeg on the shoot. On the left is how Capture One renders it, on the right is the jpeg from the camera. Again, NO adjustments in Capture One, standard Canon 5DMkii generic profile, film standard curve.

I never use any Canon software so I never run a comparison but tethered shooting has been extremely reliable with COP for me.
As long as you're working only in COP why is this an issue then? Expecting different software to render an image the same way is just not realistic. You just have to stick with one software and work with it.

It's a major problem because if the software is boosting brightness by 1-2 stops I'm not getting an accurate representation. A small variation I can live with, but 2 stops I can't.
And if you don't have an answer please does someone else have one? And it's only Capture One, I don't have the same problem in Lightroom or Adobe Bridge.
And please spare me the condescending lecture, I need this problem solved.

Are you shooting in some special raw-mode? Also, what version are you running ?

The best thing would be to send a couple of raw-files to our Support Team.

What do you mean some special raw mode? I'm just shooting standard canon raw, standard picture style. I'm using Capture One Pro 7.1 for Mac. What's the email address to send the raw files to support team? I can also send the jpeg as a comparison, when the camera saved raw + jpeg.
