copy and invert keeps the copied mask
Hi all,
i am very new with all the photo stuff but i got used to PO10pro for sony recently. now i am facin a problem with the maks tool.
i would like to copy an brushed mask from a layer 1 to a layer 2 and invert it, of course with the purpose, that the initially copied mask from layer 1 disappears or changes to the inverted in layer 2. with my system it always keeps the copied mask from layer 1 in layer 2 after inverting so that i have the two areas in the layer 2.
how can i get rid of the initially copied mask from layer 1 in the layer 2?
thanks so much for your answers in advance!

I tried, and no problem here. What I did is create a new layer (with the default name Layer 1), brushed a mask in in, and created a second new layer (Layer 2, indeed). I copied in the mask from Layer 1, and inverted it. Looked quite as the inverse mask to me. So what are you doing exactly? 0 -
hi grasjeroen,
thanks for your reply and sorry i was off for a while...
so what i am doing is exactly the same as your description and indeed there is the result of an inverted mask, but....
if i have a closer look, there is clearly the layer 1 mask still there in the layer 2 and the inverted is also visible with double density compared to layer 1.
is there a way to upload pix so i could show you?
cheers
