Do you get any error messages when the export fails?

I have had same trouble several times with different versions of PO, it exported only to ' My pictures ' forder.

Which way you try to give adress to export?

Have you tried this: Go to Process recipe, open file, open root folder, there you can go to your harddrive and fix adress to your export.

I still have POpro 8, I guess this is same in 9 too, hope so, jouni

    Solved it

Despite setting the 'Export Location > Store Files' to a set folder it is putting the modified images back into the source folder.

At least I know where to find the modified images now.

Thanks for looking and have a good Christmas and New Year.

    Philip,

The Variant export feature has a section for "Export Location" and another section for "Export Recipe".

The concept of the designs seems to be that you can have a regular export configured, something relative to your Catalogue or Session, but override it shoudl the need arise. So, for example, for you personal use you might export (or Process) to the Output folder area of a session but for images you want to send to a client or maybe a retoucher or a co-worker you could direct them somewhere else without having to modify your usual output and then change it back again.

You may already know all of that of course. If you do but you are still getting unexpected results has the functionality apparently changed in some way that makes your previous work flow less effective than it was? Or perhaps did you have something specific set up in a user setting that has not been picked up by the update?

It would be useful to know whether there is something to watch out for.
