Has anyone switched from OS X to Windows workflow?
Curious to get feedback from anyone who has switched from using Macs to using Windows PCs in a production environment. Pros? Cons?

Yes, I have. Since MAC OS 10.something? When my hardware needed the upgrade to make the new OS switch, I jumped ship. I think about the same time I left Nikon to Canon on DSLRs.
Never felt a shortcoming at all. I have 7 systems in the network. I never liked the constraints of the Finder. I also like the flexibility of different hardware I can use. But if you are not comfortable with a Windows OS/Windows Explorer, I would recommend staying on the MAC, unless you put in the learning curve time.
No Antivirus apps for years now with no issues.
not sure with the new OS and Intel chips(I think they are switching back? off of intel soon?)
pros:
Are the hardware integrations. The open access to my files with easy cross sharing and organizing.
Easy to upgrade components by parts when a faster CPU or other component is needed. Many more component compatibility. More cost options. (I recommend to buy researched quality regardless). I can use a G15 Keyboard with custom macros 😊
Cons: You have to be more of a techy to get all the above. KNowing when to skip updates like Win8/Vista/WinME..etc
Not being in the "Oooh I use a MAC therefore I must be creative"club. (I think this is wearing off a bit).
Being in the ...Ooh you use a PC, therefore you can't be creative/artistic" club

I actually loved my MAC, but at the time I needed to upgrade, and it would cost me over $8K for 1 mac workstation while a $4K self built PC would run circles around it. I needed two systems. Now I think the speeds are about the same, right? or?. I was surprised Adobe PS had 64bit support to Windows7 before Apple.
They are both great, you can easily have a mixed network too. I still have a old MAC in the mix. (rarely, but sometimes I have to deal with specific fonts, or files like Illustrator and Quark).0
