Noise & Sharpening Preferences Won't Stick
With both 3.7.1 and v 3.7.3, I can't get my Preferences to be saved and displayed on the main menu. Only the C1 defaults stay there, for example with Foscus, Soft Sharpening, Amount = 34, Threshold = 1 . I do not have \"Disable Sharpening on Output\" selected in Preferences.
Noise settings stay at C1 Default's 3rd notch even if I pick Notch 2 or 1.
I've unistalled v3.7.1 and installed v 3.7.3 but there is no change.
My computer is: AMD 3200 x64 CPU, 2 GB's RAM running XP SP1. I've tried ZoneAlarm and AV on or off and no change.
Any suggestions?

Ok I think I now understand how the preference change is supposed to work. Any preference changes will only apply to new Preview Files made and not to already made preview files, even if the older preview files have not had any effects applied to them. It sort of makes sense that previous preview files would hold onto \"old\" preference settings.
So I guess that I'll have to clear my cache of old previews for the new preference settings to apply to these older images?0 -
Pytlowany,
All of the image adjustment data reside in the .C1w or Thumbnail file.
So yes, go into the Previews cache and delete the .C1w files for Sessions you want to change the Sharpening settings of.
Hint: in a Explore window you can list Details and set by file type or date to help you purge the files you want to rebuild.
Of course if all your Sessions need to be reset, then you could purge the entire cache. Then upon starting Capture One and hitting the Refresh contents of current collection icon, your Thumbnails (.C1w) and the Previews (.C1p) will all be rebuilt.
Hope this helps you out.
Cheers,
kc0
