Auto rotate image on import
I searched through the archive without finding an answer so...
At one time, images (from Canon cameras) imported into C1 appeared in the browser correctly whether they were shot horizontally or vertically.
Then one day it stopped working. I think this happened while I was still using ver. 6.x. and I'm just getting around to asking about it now.
Currently running 7.1.4 on OSX using 5DIII and 7D bodies primarily. When I import images they appear briefly with the correct orientation in the browser after which, vertical images flip to appear horizontally.
Would much rather not have C1 "fix" the orientation so it is wrong! Am I missing something?
Thanks.

The initial image you see is probably the preview in the raw file. Then CO is creating its own preview which is why you see the image appear to turn.
I shoot Nikon and there is an option in the Menu to tag images with the orientation that they were taken at. I expect there is something similar in your Canon camera. I would check that it hasn't been changed.0 -
Hi there,
I have the same issue. Auto rotate on image import does not work. I am using Canon 7D and Panasonic Lumix GF2.
Is there a way to automatically rotate all pictures in a folder / session? It is really annoying to STRG-click all pictures that have to be rotated. The information is in the pictures as far as I know.
Cheers,
