selectiv deleting of pictures in the preview

hi
i am not sure, but i am under the impression that older versions of P1 had a differen behaving deleting pictures.
what i would like to do, is have maybe 4 pictures selected and then delete 1 out of them .. now, at least in my installation . when i hit delete P1 wants to deölete all 4 pictures.

maybe i have some preference to chanage? or change the workflow?

  If you are on CO 5.1.x the key to your success is the Edit Selected Variants toggle. Switch it off (Edit menu, shortcut or toolbar). In previous versions this feature was named Edit Primary Only and worked reversed (switch it on).
  
  By the way, this not only applies to deletion but to all actions in CO 4 & 5.

  it works .... but somehow it does only partialy. it works when i do 'endgültig löschen' (alt delete) it does not when i am using 'löschen' or use the keyboard 'delete' or ctrl+delete.
  
  but for the moment i am fine with that - so thank you one more time for helping.
