Need information for tethering

Camera: Sony a7II
Plan to do: Tethering the camera with a desktop computer in a classroom for teaching.
Questions:
1. The cost for Capture One for Sony Pro? Is it a license fee per year? Or a purchase price?
2. Can tethering be hooked up and operated with a desktop computer instead of a laptop?
3. Can the newest version of Capture One for Sony Pro be operated on a Windows 7 Pro 64b PC ?

  I don't think there's a subscription plan for the "Pro for Sony" version. The purchase cost here in the Euro zone is 50 € + VAT. Probably similar in other currencies

  The upgrade cost for the Sony Pro licence is for the life of the version. Usually when the version changes due to some specifically significant change in the software, the version number will be changed and there will be a fee (historically much less than than a full licence fee) to upgrade when and if you choose to do so.
  
  C1 V9 was released as the end of November last year iirc. so one might expect ir will be some time before we see V10 unless something spectacular is introduced.
  
  Which version you can run is dependent on the licence - the download file is the same for all types within a version. You do not have to re-install to upgrade the functionality.
  
  So long as the Windows machine is of a suitable specification and is running 64bit Windows it does not matter whether it is a desktop or a notebook.
