    Gareth,
I read two different things in your post: facts and fiction.

4.5 was terrible and continually crashed, especially while importing files.

4.5.1 seemed really good and stable on my machine but some reported (I never experienced it thank God) files corrupting in this version and this leads us to.....

4.5.2. I don't know if anyone else feels the same but it seems as bad as the original release. Very unstable. Every time I hear my hard drives start to crunch I expect C1 to crash.

This is a fact, the crashing I mean, for some users and need attention, no doubt. I am sorry to hear about your unfortunate experience. It is not generic IMHO, but it is worrying nevertheless.

Also another observation is how inactive Phase are at responding on these forums at the moment with all this negative feedback. Seems there only seem to churp up during the more trivial posts (if you can find one at the moment).

This is fiction since this is a user forum. Posts are not directed to Phase One. This is an ongoing confusion. You can open a support case for direct feedback with Phase One.

Be my opinion fact or fiction, both are valid points.

There are obvious problems with the software as most will no doubt accept.

Being a long time (10 years) Phase One user, I have monitored these forums but never really needed to vent my frustrations. Having read these very pages for a number of years I was always impressed at Phases level of involvement but have noticed a worrying decline recently. I'm not asking for support or a reply from Phase but just pointing out a troubling observation.

In times of trouble and confusion we all need some comforting words, not silence.

To be fair, this is a user to user support forum: Phase participate when and if they have time, but if you have any direct questions aim them at a support case via the website or, if you use a dealer for your products, ask us. We are generally very helpful or at the very least "comforting". This is not the place to generally vent any frustrations. 🙄
