Shadow detail recovery
I suppose this is a feature request, although there may be a way to accomplish this that I am unaware of at this time.
I'd like to be able to selectively, by color, perhaps, increase the shadow details. Here is an example, I'd like to increase the shadow details of the head of this Mallard only. Increasing it elsewhere isn't really necessary and tends to make things look too washed out.
Is this possible? If not, can it be a feature request?

In short, you could do it by luminosity (with curves) or better: by color (with Color Editor). Or both. Let us know whether this works for you or need further assistance. 0 -
I find that such editing is best done in an external program (Photoshop + Viveza 2). 0 -

But if you can get it done when editing the RAW you save yourself an extra step and will get better results. Save time and maintain quality.0 -
That would be nice to do it in the RAW file, but external tools offering incomparable degree of freedom in selective adjustments. 0 -
Try Lightzone which allows you to adjust any colour or tint you wish to pick.

As does the Color Editor in Capture One... so there's no advantage there.0
