Photo number not displayed

When I use Adobe Camera Raw/Bridge it shows me the number of photos in the folder in the lower left corner.

When I import photos from my flash card into CO7pro sometimes see the number in the upper right corner - but sometimes only.
After importing the display of the number of all imported photos disappears. But why is that??

How can I ejust the number-display to have it visible all the time?
