we were shooting today, and we couldnt set the camera to shoot tethered, and copy raws to card. when we used canon software it works, but not with 4.5.

is there something c1 is doing, or is it a problem with canon.

we also tried to write raw to cf, and jpegs to sd, and watch the sd card. this usually (when using canon software) sends the jpeg to the computer, and writes the raw to the canons cf card. this has been a really fast way to preview in the past.
it did when not tethered, but when i tethered it would send jpegs to 4.5, but stop writing raws to the cf. this is strange, as it seems like it should be a problem with the canon, but it doesnt happen when using dpp.

i find 4.5 too dangerous to tether raws to without the backup of the cf card. is it the fault of c1 software?

just tried dpp again, and that has a button to select "copy to card when tethered".

will we see his added to he feature list soon?

    cheers paul

Tethered operation originates from the time that there was no storage in the camera or data back at all. Later, when that storage came available, tethered operation still used the computer's disk to store image. Canon recently allowed local storage in camera during tethering with its EOS Utility program. I don't have details about whether this is in the Canon SDK (software development kit) or that Canon keeps this private as a propriety feature. If it is the latter option, it don't expect it to show in a 3rd party program like Capture One. If it is part of the SDK, it could potentially be done.

Best to open a support case and do a feature request. Nice option I think.
