Overdue fixes!! Orientation and gradient tool for starters.

When are you guys going to solve the rotation issue with DSLR's when the camera is aimed straight down like when on a tripod? Long ago you said to create a 'style' as a work around, thats ridiculous! You expect us to stop and create a new style everytime we make an adjustment change so the image can still tether in at the correct orientation? And myself as well as colleagues have never figured out how that even works so why don't you create a tutorial on that if you're not gonna fix the problem the right way. Long ago in C1-3 you could set the orientation to a forced +/- 90 degrees for this issue, why is this not reimplemented? And why does the gradient tool not show the mask when drawing? Yes I have it checked in the drop down menu to "show mask when drawing" and it never does. All it does is show the mask for a millisecond when releasing the mouse button. Also, orientation is never applied when copied to the clipboard. If I was a leading software company you could be assured I'd be fixing existing long overdue problems before I keep adding luxury items, like a fancier looking camera control layout mimicking a camera LCD panel.

Are you aware that this is a user-to-user forum?

Or do you expect another user to fix possible bugs or issues? Or that we (users) are implementing things you like to see instead of adding things you call 'luxury items'?

So, what is your question to us other users, if there is any?

How do you figure this is only "user to user" when PhaseOne support often chimes in to this area of the forums. I wanted all to see this out of awareness and to hear others feelings about these issues so that P1 will finally fix these disruptive shortcomings.

Well ... this is a user-to-user forum and it's ok to vent once in a while. But, it couldn't hurt to refrain from "attacking" a fellow user who responds.

It's not good if you problems with a feature, but phase one isn't going to take action based on this forum, no matter how often its employees visit it. A support case is the only way.

And to show the mask, typically you'd need to press 'm' to toggle it.
