I think you might have discovered a typographic error in the features list (although it would be nice to have that feature added) 😊

    ThomasD,

Ken is correct, this is a feature of PRO only.

Thank You for bringing this discrepancy to our attention. We will edit the web site feature listing. 🤭

Please, go ahead and make Feature Requests for LE through the Help > Technical Feedback... option of the software.

    Sincerely,

I am an ACR user and thought I'd give LE a go. Some very subtle improvements that I thought made it worth buying, even though it's taking time to get my workflow up to the same speed as ACR.

    Until I needed to rotate...

LE is no use to me without arbitary rotate, and there's no way I can justify the huge pricee of Pro. To do it, I have to save as TIF, go into PS, rotate, then save as JPG.

So in the bin it goes! One purchase missed here.

    What a shame.

    Pottsy,

Sounds as though you should have given PRO a go.
Photoshop is $600 dollars and upgrades at about $150
So $500 is too much to pay for all the tools you need to have better quality images, and at least a 50% more efficient workflow?
Yes, it would be nice to have all this for $100, but you get what you pay for.

    PRO -
    Arbitrary Rotation
    CMYK output
Color Editor for custom ICC profiles
    3 different Output Image Files
    Soft Proofing
    Output Interpolation -up to 250%
    Canon EOS DSLR Tetherability
Hot Folder refresh for tethering with any other supported camera

    Sincerely,
    kdc

Yes, Pro would be good. But the only advantage I would get is arbitary rotation. So that's a lot of money for something I have already paid for!

Sell it to me! How is your workflow 50% faster than CS2+ACR 3.1? It all looks pretty similar to me - except I can rotate in ACR.

    And....

I can't get rid of CA with your software (I'm using a 350D with 17-85 IS). Poor example, but I'm struggling with this (100% crop of an OOF part of a large image, and I haven't done any other correction with ACR, hence the odd colour temp etc):

    PhaseOne:

Pottsy....I do my arbitrary rotation with QImage, an excellent printing program.

    Pottsy,

Yes 50% would seem extreme, but it does apply to some very convuluted workflow scenarios. I've seen some studios use no less than 4 different softwares in working with image files.

Well, Ok - I'll give a Sales Pitch a shot. How about Tethering your 350D directly into Capture One PRO. And then establishing your first shot with a Macbeth or true gray card to establish White Balance, and then setting that WB to be appied to all the images as they arrive during a shoot. Image naming can be changed during shoot as well. This has got to be worth a few percentage points in efficiency !

Your image should clean-up using the Color Noise Suppression Tool available in Capture One 3.7.
This new tool will diminish or eliminate these phenomena. The Color Noise Suppression Tool can greatly improve the quality of high ISO or underexposed images.
This feature is affiliated with the Focus Tab .
Using the Focus Tool, select an area to view with unacceptable color noise and adjust the slider to change the pixel radius setting. As the Focus Window provides real-time feedback of your settings adjustments directly from the actual RAW file, you can easily preview the changes that will be made in the processed file.

    Cheers,
    kdc
