Software does not see Sony camera

I’ve tried everything, the software does not see the camera... it reads the images on the camera but can’t shoot tethered

    There is a setting in the camera I think it has to do with USB.

    Apologies if you're already on top of this, but the quality of your USB cable is critical.

    I've successfully tethered with a relatively expensive Tether Tools cable, but not with another seemingly ok cable.
