Block effect using either Luma Range & 100%+
When using a mask, fill, gradient, radial it doesn't matter, and then using the luma range, the range just defaults to huge blocks, like lego bricks. This isnt a display issue as when I make a change, eg exposure it applies to the blocks.
Also, a similar effect happens when I zoom to 100%+ except this not only 'blocks' but also drastically increases perceived brightness (albeit this is a graphic display issue) as when I zoom back out or process the effect disappears. Which is different to the luma range issue.
I am on a free trial and the severity of this bug will/is stopping me from purchasing the product.

In the "Preferences" (Edit > Preferences) set the values in the General tab for Use Hardware Acceleration (or similar phrase) to "None" for both fields.
Then check what happens.
Either way you should then report the problem to the C1 Technical Support team using the "Submit a request" feature found at the top line of most pages in the support system.

Very often these issues turn out to be related to the use of the GPU. If SFA'a suggestion fixes the problem then update your GPU's drivers form the manufacturers website rather than relying on Windows Update. If you are using an AMD GPU then driver problems are well known although there are suggestions now that the latest drivers fix these long standing issues.
If you have a Nvidia GPU and do not Game, pick the Studio drivers as these are optimised for productivity.

Cheers for the replies. I game a little but nothing spectacular. I use an NVidia 1660. Not top end but it keeps me going with most things.
I will look into studio drivers, if not then disabling.
