How do you get Capture One to check for folders not imported via Capture one?
Help needed.
Problem: Getting Capture one to recognise and import folders added to an existing folder hierarchy.
Background: For the time being, I am still using Lightroom for importing files ( I have a mix of Nikon and Fuji and only have Capture one for Fuji while I learn about Capture One). So Lightroom creates folders and adds files that C1 doesn't know about, but adds these to an existing folder hierarchy that C1 does have.
Tried so far:
'Sync' the Parent Folder - doesn't find the new folders, even with 'include subfolders' set. I had hoped that this would spot the new folders, but sadly not.
'Add Folder' - This works on a folder by folder basis, but its manually intensive process adding the folder, then syncing the folder, and relies comparing a Finder view with a C1 folder view.
Any ideas?

You could add subfolders using the + in the Folders section of the Library tool, then synchronise. Or you could import the images in them using the Import function, and that would add the folders for you as it did it. If you do that and check the box to include subfolders, you might be able to do it all in one go rather than one subfolder at a time. (You can specify to leave the images in their existing location when you import.)

I think this would be a very good enhancement. Another one would be to also recognize deleted folders during a sync and offering to remove them from the catalog.

Thanks for your comments, next time I do this (rename folders/add folders) I'll try the Import function at the Parent folder level and see what happens.
Thanks again.
