Edit with... - keyboard shortcut(?)
Hello,
is there a way to assign a keyboard shortcut to the function Edit With Photoshop?
Thank you,

Not within Capture One. I believe I have seen attempts to do it with other tools, either from macOS or 3rd party. Not sure.

Hi Paul,
thanks for the reply. I tried with macros & MIDI controllers. No success. It's a pity...

Sadly they removed the keyboard shortcut in Capture One 12. It is very sorely missed when editing a bunch of photos in Photoshop. Instead of hitting Ctrl-E (which was the old shortcut) you need at least 3 mouse clicks on menus to get to the same place. Very annoying that they are ignoring this.

NOOOO :/ I just downloaded the new Capture 20 and already miss this keyboard shortcut. :

I know - it's pretty sad they still haven't added it. I've been messaging them from time to time for years to no avail. Waiting to see if CO 21 is worth updating to, if they added this shortcut back I would definitely go for it.

Why wait? Do it using the mouse one time to make sure the Edit With menu is populated with the app you want to use, in my case Affinity Photo. Once the app is in the menu do this:
- Open System Preferences and select the Keyboard preference.
- Go to the Shortcuts tab
- Click on App Shortcuts
- Click on the + button to add an app shortcut for Capture One 20.app
- The menu title is Image->Edit With->Affinity Photo (or the name of whatever app you are using)
- Pick a key as the shortcut. I use Option-A (A for Affinity; a key not otherwise used by Capture One)
Not perfect, but useable. If it doesn't work the way you want you can delete the shortcut.

I saw a post about this but I've tried to open it with Photoshop (using so many different naming conventions to match etc) but its not working of me :(

If only there were a mountaintop where I could scream this louder. This is such a bush-league omission from a top-tier piece of software. Not being able to trigger such an oft-repeated action with a keyboard shortcut is a mind-boggling oversight. If I'm trying to plow through retouching 50+ images in one day I am reminded 50+ times each day how frustrating it is that this basic feature is no longer available. I can't believe this is even something we have to ask for in 2020, but please, please, please return the option to set a default external image editor which can be triggered by a keyboard shortcut.
