Fuji 100-400 lens profile
I am new to Capture One for Fuji and am wondering why there is no profile for the Fuji 100-400 lens. All of the other lens appear on the list.

If you see a "Manufacturer Profile" (or something similar to that naming) it is likely that you are, by default, using Fuji's own adjustment.
C1 may have concluded that there is little, if anything, to be gained by producing their own profile for the lens. Especially a relatively long zoom.
What is your opinion? Do the default results look bad?

Thanks for the reply. It looks ok. I was just concerned when the lens says manufacture's profile while the other lenses give the name of the lens. Are you saying that when if gives a lens name, capture one has created slightly different profile than when it say manufacture's profile? I do notice a difference on the other lenses between Manufacture's profile versus the one with the lens name.

Hi Larry,
Most modern Fuji lenses have their profile "burned in" into their firmware. When you attach a lens to a Fuji camera, and the camera produces an RAF file, it includes that information in the output raw file. The C1 then does not need to refer to an external profile file, it uses the information embedded in the RAF file and the 'Profile' then reads: 'Manufacturer Profile'.
Here is an example of type of data embedded in a RAF file produced by GFX50s with GF120mm lens attached to it:
10) GeometricDistortionParams = 645 0.3535648995 0.5001828154 0.6124314442 0.7071[snip]

You can submit a request for support of this lens.

Thanks to all who responded. Good info. Paul I may submit a request. The 100-400 looks to be about the only lens not on the C1 list.

Larry,
If you are not unhappy with the results using Fuji's own profile why would you want C1 to recreate that just to give you a profile with a lens name on it?
In most case longer lenses especially long zooms, have very minor levels of correction to apply and then more often than not only at the widest end.
Personally I would not bother unless you think the Fuji adjustment is lacking in some way. If it is something especially noticeable that would be a surprise and you might want to check against another example of the lens to make sure yours is working as expected.

Rob how are you getting that correction metadata out of the fuji raw file?
I use a text editer on mine and see only basic camera and lens info.0 -
@ gb
I am using program called "ExifTool" from https://exiftool.org by Phil Harvey.

Ok, thanks.
