Capture one 20 catalogs are dead slow and take in hours to do small work
I have several capture one catalogs that just don't finish their work in time. (CaptureOne20.Win.13.1.2.35)
Imports take forever and exporting single image can take up to 15 minutes to start sometimes it just does not finish exporting/importing. Even after many restarts and hail Maries.
Catalogs span 3 years aprox. 45K images. Catalogs are on SSD (Samsung 960 EVO Series) and the images are on spindles.
Opening them takes a very long time.
Does anyone have similar issues?

I don't have this issue, my catalogue has around 300k images and seems fine. I would suggest that you verify the catalogue to check the integrity of the catalogue.

I would also suggest that you create a new catalogue and see if the behaviour on startup is the same, this may indicate if it is a problem with the application installation or with the catalogue itself.
I set my catalogue to backup and optimise on a regular basis, if you don't do this I would recommend that you think about doing it.

Entirely personal, but Sessions are the solution to large catalogs for me. Individual tidy little portable catalogs you can move to different drives or wherever you may need them. Even handy for backing up.
I left the catalog approach behind shortly after moving from Lightroom years ago.
