    Mark,

    It may be worth pointing out that Capture One has never supported the specific Astro versions of Canon Cameras.

    Whether this is for technical reasons or lack of demand from a specialized market (or something else) is anyone's guess. Perhaps many reasons are pertinent.

    Things might change ... but history suggests that would not be a good wager to rely on.

    If you have any serious and expensive decisions to make based on an answer to the question the foregoing observations may be pertinent to you.

    Yes, I have read in various posts that they never have supported a Canon 'a' model - I want to ask Capture One to consider it anyway as there are many of us shooting Astro and Astro timelapses.

    I currently use the EXIF tool to modify the camera type to 'R' from 'Ra' and it works well - Still, I believe that a 'pro' company should support all top end cameras as does Adobe.
