Slide show and full screen auto scaling

Noticed something off about slide show behaviour in C120. I have a collection with multiple pics, some are smaller than sceen resolution, some larger. When I play a slideshow of these, the smaller ones are displayed center screen with large borders around them (ie at their native resolution), and the larger ones are downscaled so that they fit full screen on my monitor. So C1 CAN auto scale, but only down it seems?

On my mac if I select these same pics, and press the spacebar, then full screen the image, all images are auto scaled to fully fit the screen. So the finder can do this, but C1 cannot? I have looked at all relevant preference items, slide show controls etc. Would love to be able to just play and have the images auto fit the monitor, rather than appearing 'cropped' via borders. Don't want to manually upscale each picture, I am fine with simple pixel adding for this use.

Suggestions?

Just a follow up on this issue. Both the Mac's finder application and Preview app can auto scale these pictures when performing a slideshow with no problem. I would hope that a professional, dedicated photo DAM like C1 would have the same capability of 'pixel dancing' as these apps with very limited feature sets do...just sayin.
