Ok Capture One devs, your turn!

So Big Sur is here, Im going to buy a new computer in the following weeks and I think Apple will laugh at me if I tell them I need it with Catalina installed because the software I use at work doesn't support Big Sur and they said I shall tell Apple to downgrade to Catalina. LOL.

No seriously guys, Affinity, Dj Pro, Microsoft and others have launched upgrades on day one to support Big Sur, even M1 capable machines.. Let's forget the apps that are not graphic related.. that leave us Affinity!.. I know is tons of work but don't fool me (us) that you had to wait for Big Sur release to start working on it.

When can we expect an update for C1-20 with Big Sur support?

I don't suppose for a moment that they have waited for Big Sur to be released before they started work on it. But I think it is reasonable to expect that until Big Sur was finalised and released they could not finish working on it. They tell us every year when Macs get a new OS that Apple can, and sometimes do, make changes right at the last moment. I'd rather have a new version of Capture One that had been tested on the actual release of Big Sur than one that was rushed out half-baked.

Just updated to Big Sur and all SEEMS to be well with C1Pro 20. Note I do not use the tethering so that I can't speak to.
