addition to feathering and refining: allow expanding or contracting of masks
ImplementedEven though it is possible to create a very accurate mask using the "refine mask" function, to me there is still one crucial way of managing mask edges missing:
Say, you have made a mask (no matter how or if it has been refined, restricted by a luma-range or not) and now you need to do some hefty noise reduction on that mask which includes negative clarity and negative structure.
If you just refine that mask and adjacent to the mask's edge you have some very fine detail structures which are not part of the mask (fur or feathers for example), that fine detail will also be affected to some extend by the noise reduction you perform on the denoise-mask.
If you could add another slider that allows to kinda "pull" the mask's edge into one direction, i.e. to expand or contract the existing mask starting from it's initial edge in a radial style, this would really complement the way we can work with masks in Capture One.
The suggested slider could simply indicate the radius of the expansion / contraction set in pixels.
Accessing the suggested function could be possible exactly the same way as feathering or refining masks (by right-clicking on the respective layer).
kind regards
Jochen
