Slow as in "useless".

I bought and installed C1 21. Then I pointed it at the LR catalog of about 100 000 images.. C1 started to generate previews. It takes more than 40 minutes to generate 1000 previews!!!

I am using or have recently used LR, IMatch, Exposure X5 and X6, different versions of ON1, digikam, darktable, PSP, Raw Therapee etc.

With them nothing ever comes even close to 40 minutes to 1000 previews.

So I may go on using LR and Photoshop or I may dump them and turn to IMatch and Affinity Photo. X6 is not bad either.

Those programs work, I can _do_ things with. I do not have to spend my time waiting and/or fighting bugs. I rather do something useful.

Capture One has some very nice raw editing tools but historically its database is poor. It is such a shame that Phase killed off their version of iView MediaPro or at least failed to learn how to implement a database of images from it.

My view is that Capture One is best used in Session Mode where its tethering and image corrections may be used but don't expect to manage a large collection of images without running into issues.
