Updating to Capture One 20 - last version
Just a little feedback and a grumble. I was offered an update for version 20 - I took it to be the last free one on my subscription. When I started it seemed that the update routine knew what it was doing but I was not given a choice - only that I "might" have to pay.
I was loaded to version 21 and not the last free #20. There was no choice offered and it even asked me for my pass-characters - which I duly entered but it was rejected as "no more free updates on that code". Just a little bit scammy - provide an update for the free version and then load the new version without customer choice and then - "how about the money?"
In my case I am 75 years old - have never been a heavy user of Capture One but have been right in there subscribing since version one. I almost need a long service medal. I am now well retired, a pensioner and although I took the bait and paid this time - I am afraid that Capture 21 will just have to do me for-ever. Even the subscription service makes no sense at 75 years of age.

Tom,
If you are on a Subscription activation and it is current (not cancelled) and paid up to date the expectation is that you would be installing the update to V21 since that comes as part of the subscription.
The very last V20 update was for Mac OS compatibility and so did not apply to Windows installations.
There is no continuity of usage for a cancelled subscription. This is true for all subscription based vendors not just Capture One. Which was the last version that you obtained using the traditional perpetual license?
