customized work spaces
Running latest version of C1 on iMac, can't get customized Q tab work space to save, every time I try, C1 reverts to previous work space. Please help....

Have you used the "Save Working Space" command in the view menu ?

Yes I have, that is part of the process. But, using that function does not allow me to save the space, instead it reverts to previous space. I apparently can eliminate tools from the space but not add them as I continue to fix this issue. Anyone else with this particular issue please?

can you please describe how you saved the workspace?
I do: Window -> Workspace -> Save Workspace... -> (Enter new name or select existing one) -> Save (in case of selecting an existing one C1 lets you confirm to overwrite the old one)
Works like a charm also with adding or removing panels

@Jay,
By "customized Q tab " do you mean the Quick Tab feature of old?

Q tab of old - yes. But I am using latest software C21 and still find it accessible. I am missing something then, yes? Please tell me more! :)

No, the "Q" does still exist for your personal arrangement of tools.
At least it does on my C21 copy.

The specific quick tab functionality and its dedicated Icon were discontinued at some point - V20 I think - when some tools changed and default tool tabs were refreshed. Personalised still exist but not a default offering with a "Q" icon.
There have been some other changes over time that meant that some older personalised Workspaces may no longer apply. If a particular tool has been heavily revised, for example, and the old version "dropped" as far as use in the latest development engine is concerned.
In general old settings are retained and referenced to the version/release to which they relate. I'm not sure where such things are retained for Macs. Using Windows they are, generally, in the "Appdata" folders.
Saving with a unique name should still work but if the entire workspace reverts to something different then maybe not.
If the only change is to add Q tab - and given the lack of a dedicated icon for it nowadays - how did you go about that process? There might be something odd happening in that situation.

so I experimented....using a C1 default workspace and one of their default tool tabs...I still am unable to save any changes when adding tools BUT I can remove tools and that change sticks. Something is wrong...

This comes up from a search in the knowledge base.
Does it apply in your case? It sounds similar.
It may be that you changes are being applied to version linked old location for the definition file rather than the new copy of that file found and (probably) saved for V21.
The reinstallation mentioned may have fixed that in the situation described. So possibly a glitch in the update process (just speculation). That might be a little more likely since there was a significant change in the way the Workspaces function (scrolling tools area) in recent times that might have allowed the possibility of certain inter-version updates to be processed incompletely.
