Note for users of Big Sur from Capture One for those who would like to update to Big Sur and keep using C1 20.

"NOTE: Capture One will support Big Sur - macOS 11.0 with the upcoming releases of Capture One 21 and Capture One 20 (13.1.4) to be released later in 2020."

We are closing in on the end of 2020. I submitted a support case asking if there is a contemplated release date for C1 13.1.4 consistent with the note.

I’m using C1-20 on BigSur, no issues so far

I'm new to C1, having bought C1 20 for Nikon about 4-weeks ago. My current computers are a 2013 MacBook Pro laptop and a 2019 iMac desktop. Both are on Big Sur. The laptop appears to work. In contrast, I have to boot up the desktop 3x to get it to start (unexpectedly quits booting 2 x and then takes a long time to load on the 3rd try). In addition, the "Open with Menu" for plugins is disabled (desktop only), so I can't list or get to my plugins including LR Classic, Photoshop and Nik. Tethering does appear to work on both.

Capture One 20 (13.1.4) is now available for download. I installed it and so far have not had problems, but I have not tried tethering. It is good not have to upgrade to C1 14 to have official support for C1 on Big Sur.

Not sure what I'm doing wrong, etc. being a new user. I click on updates and get nothing but paid upgrade options to C1 21. Where do I go to download 13.1.4 for C1 20?

    Thanks,

    Larry

Thanks Jerry C!  That worked and I'm updated. The term "Download previous version" is a bit misleading, but I can live with it now that I know what it means.

It's concerning that they say they'll support Big Sur version: 11.0.

What happens if 11.1 introduces a bug? How long will 20 be supported for? I've been burned in the past by Capture blaming Mac and forcing an unnecessary upgrade when I had the 2nd most recent version of their software.

I have been using Capture One 20 with Big Sur 11.1 (20C69) for a month and have not had any problems. I am running it on an iMac Pro with 2 TB SSD, 3 Ghz 10-core Intel Xeon W. 64 GB DDR RAM, Radeon Pro Vega 64 16 GB. I have hardware acceleration set to Auto, although turning it off seems to make little difference.

Big Sur is also working on two of my computers, one 2013 MacBook Pro and one 2019 iMac 5K. The only issue is that I can't link plugins on the iMac 5K. That may be an architectural issue because I have my Desktop on an external rather than internal drive. I did put in a support request about this several days ago, but no reply.
