Layer selection points rarely appear
The little orange dots to select or move a brush adjustment layer only make an appearance occasionally and rarely when I need them. If I have a brush layer which needs shifting position slightly then I can't do it - I have to re-brush and erase. The control points just aren't visible despite "Display Selection Points" being enabled.
I'm on 21 but had this same problem in version 20 too.
Any ideas?

Same here. Did you find a solution?
Edit: It seems you have to be exactly at the correct tool, like brush, radial, ...

It looked like the functionality changed slightly at some point.
As it is now, one can set a selection point on a mask (rather than relying on an original start point or previously set point) if one wishes to move the mask. A suitable brush for the layer type needs to be selected to make the point selection active. Certain layer types may not be logically associated with selection points and, of course, clone and heal layers require a source selection point that will always be identified and stored and most likely relatively positioned to the mask.
I have assumed it is intended to work this way since it seems to be a more useful approach to use when a mask movement is desired.
