Import dialog changed
I normally import to catalog from a folder containing all my files, including previously imported ones so I rather select only the files need. With 21 I noticed all the files are all picked when importing which means I have to unpick, then select and then pick which adds unnecessary steps for me. Is there a way to set it so no files will be picked when opening the dialog box? Also, it would be great if I could just select them and not have to also add the check mark to pick them.

I agree that the now check-marked import screen is an irritation particularly when you have to manually uncheck some images while importing others. However, I have found that after unchecking all and then manually check the first desired image, I hit the space bar then right arrow, space bar, right arrow and so on to add check marks... IF the the desire images are in sequence. If not... good luck.

Hi Robert. I definitely preferred the much simpler way of doing it in 20, but I guess it probably makes sense that most people would rather have them all picked, maybe they could give us the option to personalize that feature in the import dialog box in the future. For now, I'll try using space bar to speed up the process.
Thanks for your suggestion:D0 -
Sorry to bump an old thread, but it's been 9 months, and this UI change is still annoying me. I would love a preference to change the default behavior.
I routinely forget to uncheck pick all and end up having to stop the import process when I realize it's flooding my computer, and then I have to delete the pics, reinsert the card (because importing automatically ejects it) and start over.
Sure, it wouldn't be such an issue if I was more observant, but it's been this long and I still haven't learned. I've been very happy with the various updates to C1 since I started using it, but this one thing is a fly in the ointment for me.
